Israel Kibbutz Orchestra presents

Haim Permont: Concerto for doublebass and orchestra (World Premiere)

Fauré: "Pelleas and Melisande"
Handel: "Water Music"

Conductor - Yaron Gottfried
Double-bass - Rinat Avisar

With the Noa Dar Dance Company

A unique multimedia concert, in cooperation with the Noa Dar Dance Company. The central work of this concert is Handel's Water Music, with original choreography by Noa Dar. Handel wrote this work as background music to accompany a party King George I was having on a barge as he floated down the London Thames. The dance reflects a person's point of view while standing on a barge floating down a river: his experience of observing the scenery changes and passes before his eyes, in motion, space and time.
Faurés musical setting of "Pelleas and Melisande" illustrates the programmatic elements of the play; the beautiful melodies and the rich orchestral colors reflect the drama's atmosphere and present Fauré at his best.
The concert will also feature Haim Permont's Concerto for Doublebass, commissioned by the orchestra, performed by its Principle Bassist, Rinat Avisar. Mar 14, Ein HaShofet Mar 16, Dorot Mar 18, Giv'at Brenner Mar 21, Beit Shean Mar 23, Nahariya Mar 28, Tel Aviv
