Eran Borovich will perform Mozart's "Per Questa Bella Mano" with bass baritone Klaus Mertens and the Tel Aviv Soloists, conducted by Barak Talin. The concerts will be on the following dates:

Singer, performer and double bassist Anna Veit won the first prize for Chanson in the national singers competition "Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin 2007". The photo above is from her award-winning performance of "Aber der Nowak laesst mich nicht verkommen" from the cabarett "Simpl".

Bass Trio Tour of Ireland
Wieland Bachmann, Okhee Lee and Michael Wolf have returned from a tour of concerts and masterclasses in Limerick and Dublin, Ireland.

The trio is pictured with Scottish pipers, who also performed at a concert together with the world's most famous traditional Irish band, the Chieftains.
Wolf was also joined by traditional flutist Niall Keegan (below left). The bass trio is pictured below right with Paddy Molone, one of the founding members of the Chieftains. More photos here in the photo gallery...

New Position!

Jae Bok Cho, who recently joined the bass section of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchesters Berlin as a new fixed-contract member of the orchestra academy, has now gotten another offer to join the NDR Sinfonie-Orchester (North German Radio Symphony Orchestra) in Hamburg with a practicum position.

Two New Positions in Leipzig!

Okhee Lee and Martin Schoene have both been offered positions with fixed-term contracts in the Gewandhaus Orchester in Leipzig. A few weeks earlier, Okhee had also been awarded a praktikant position with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin (formally the Berlin Symphony Orchestra).

New Professorship!

Detmar Kurig was awarded a professorship at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule in Duesseldorf. He also has a guest professorship at the Hochschule in Koeln/Aachen and is a member of the SWR Symphonieorchester in Baden-Baden.
