Michael Wolf offered Guest Professorship in Ireland

Starting in the Winter semester 2007-08, Wolf will join the faculty of the University of Limerick, Ireland, teaching in the MA Classical String Performance program of the Irish World Academy. Those interested in studying in Ireland please contact the univerisity at www.irishworldacademy.ie or Ferenc Szucs (Course Director) at Ferenc.Szucs@ul.ie.

On July 4, 2007 double bass soloist, voice performer, improvisor and composer Matthias Bauer will be presenting an Improvisation Workshop from 14.00-17.00 in the "Kleine Vortragsaal" of the UdK at Bundesallee 12, 10715 Berlin. This will be followed by a recital performance at 19.30 of Matthias joined by the students of Prof. Michael Wolf..

Matthias is acclaimed for his work in experimental music theater and for his appearances with numerous new music ensembles, including the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin, the Ensemble Modern Orchestra, the Lautten Compagney and the Ensemble United Berlin. The double bass class of Prof. Michael Wolf was joined by Wies de Boeve of Belgium on May 7th, 2007, 19.30 for a public recital in the Streichersaal of the UdK. The concert was dedicated to Wies, who was the 100,000th visitor to our website, wolfbass.com. Matteo Burci of Italy, our 100,001st visitor, also joined us as a special guest performer.
