Das Crescendo beginnt bei den Bässen Montag, 8. Juni 2009, 19.30 Uhr u. a. Werke von Tony Osborne und Michael Wolf ( Mitwerkende: Wieland Bachmann, Okhee Lee, Lucasz Klusek, Yong Il Seo, Igor Prokopets, Michael Wolf( ( Selten sind Kontrabassisten in großer Zahl auf der Bühne im Konzert zu hören, ohne dass die ablenkende Begleitung eines Symphonieorchesters ebenfalls ertönt. Nun betritt Prof. Michael Wolf mit den Studenten seiner Kontrabassklasse, die zum Teil bereits Mitglieder bedeutender professioneller Orchester und Preisträger renommierter Wettbewerbe sind, die Bühne en masse, um diese Kulturlücke zu schließen. Die kräftig und überraschend virtuosen Klänge eines Kontrabass-Ensembles, die von brummenden 16-Fuß-Orgeltönen bis in schwindelnde Höhen hinaufklettern, werden mit lebendigen und außergewöhnlichen Werken präsentiert... vom Lyrischen bis zum Rock.
