For videos since 2009:

All recordings and videos since 2009 use flash technology, so anyone who can view Youtube videos should be able to view our videos. If it doesn't work, you may not have Flash installed on your computer. Please download the necessary (free) plug-ins if prompted to do so, or download the versions of Flash for Mac, Windows or Linux free of charge here.

To listen to the recordings, click on the titles of the pieces. Right click (or control click on a Mac) to download mp4 version.

From 2007-2009:

Most of the recordings and videos from 2007-2009 use the Windows WMF format, so all PC users with Windows Media Player installed should be able to view those videos. Apple OSX users will have to install the free version of the Flip4mac plug-in to view these videos (available here).

Older recordings and videos using the RealPlayer format:

  • If you already have a music player
that is configured to stream music using the RealPlayer extension ".ram", then you can proceed to listen to the recordings. (A modem connection with a speed of 56kBit/sec will work fine.)

  • What is "streaming", anyway?!
Streaming refers to the process of playing sound in real time over the Internet, as opposed to storing it in a local file in your computer harddisk first. The advantage is that you can start listening to your selections right away, without having to wait for a large download to be completed.

Getting started...

The first step: if you don't already have RealPlayer or another compatible music player program, you must first download the free Real Player 8 Basic here. Note: you do not have to buy the Real Player Plus for $29.99 to hear these recordings! The Basic Player is free and has all the functions that you need to listen to the recordings on this website. If you cannot find the free Basic Player at the above link, try going to the Real Player home page www.real.com, look for "Real Player 8 Basic under "Top free downloads" at the bottom of the page. Click on the words "free download" and, on the next page, look for the small link to ""Real Player 8 Basic" on the left side at the middle of the page. Again, you do not need to purchase the "Real Player 8 Plus" for $29.99 unless you want to have it. Install the basic version on your computer and let it automatically configure your internet preferences to handle streaming of music. You can then proceed to "recordings" above and listen to live music on the internet. Try it, it's easy and is all free!

Still can't hear the recordings with RealPlayer?

  • If you hear nothing when using RealPlayer, you may need to configure your browser manually (see below)
  • If you are still having trouble listening to streaming music with RealPlayer, you can find further help by consulting the Real Player technical assistance page. (Please note that for best results, you should have a modem connection speed of at least 56kBit/sec.)
